The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health at Children’s Mercy Kansas City is recruiting for several full time Board Certified (or Certification in Process) Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists to join our multidisciplinary team.

Children’s Mercy is taking action to address the needs of our community– leveraging nationally-recognized pediatric expertise and investment from our community to transform care for children. "Illuminate" is our ambitious, five-year plan lighting the path forward for the youth mental health crisis by increasing access to evidence-based treatment with specific focus on equity for our most vulnerable populations.

The details:

• Openings for consultation/liaison team and partial hospitalization program
• Child psychiatry team includes ten child and adolescent psychiatrists and two psychiatric nurse practitioners serving inpatient and ambulatory specialties.
• Positions include protected academic time for service, research, and other scholarly activities.
• Faculty mentoring and hospital-wide educational programs are available for those interested in clinical scholarship (e.g., program evaluation, quality improvement initiatives).
• Psychiatrists are an integral part of our training program and routinely teach students, residents and fellows.
• Position carries an academic appointment at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine
