Atrium Health Levine Children’s is seeking a Division Chief for Pediatric Endocrinology. The Pediatric Endocrinology Division is a group of 7 physicians and 1 APP that serve 2 children’s hospitals and 4 outpatient locations. The Division Chief will be based at Levine Children’s in Charlotte. 

 

Multidisciplinary care is provided for conditions such as Diabetes (Type 1 and 2), Metabolic Disorders, Thyroid Diseases, Abnormal Puberty, Adrenal Conditions, Pituitary Disorders, Growth Disorders, Cystic Fibrosis, and Hormone-Secreting Tumors. Ancillary support includes social work, dieticians, and educators as a complement to the care team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and supervision of physicians and APPs 
  • Growth of division-specific quality improvement plan
  • Expansion and oversight of outpatient satellite clinics
  • Clinical programmatic development
  • Participation in hospital, Department of Pediatrics, and system committees
  • Faculty development (leadership, clinical, academic).
  • Education – medical students, pediatric residents, and faculty
  • Shared call and inpatient consult responsibilities balanced with outpatient clinics

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Board certification Pediatric Endocrinology
  • Successful track record of progressive leadership and mentorship
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and research development
  • Academic accomplishments that support appointment as an Associate or Full Professor
