Primary Care Locum Physician needed in Southcentral Alaska, serving the underserved

Requirements:

1. MD/DO, board certified Family Medicine
2. AK License
3. DEA
4. BLS, ACLS and PALS preferred
5. Excellent primary care experience and willing to see a panel of patients.
6. Three - five years of practice experience in primary care
7. MUST be Covid vaccinated with one booster.
8. Willing to undergo a background check
9. Willing to make a 3 - 6 month commitment

Schedule:

1. Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, with occ. 9am -6pm, and Saturday hours. 40 hrs per week.
2. No call
3. 10-15 patients / day on average

Facility:

1. Credentialing will take apprx. 2 months. Start immediately following.
2. Cerner EHR
3. Staffing mix: Fully integrated team including pharmacists, BH consultants, registered dieticians, case manager RNs, CNAs, Pediatrics, Pain Consultant, PT, and community health (social services). Team coverage to manage patient panel (if provider has to be out or is booked up, patient can see someone else on team). Providers may see patients for prenatal care but will not have to manage OB patients.

Logistics and Other info:

1. Fly into Anchorage
2. Lodging will be apartment, AirBnB or extended stay house.
3. Spouse/Sign other welcome. No pets

Compensation:

1. $180/hr M-F clinic hours. If OT occurs, paid at $270/hr.
2. $60 /day per diem
3. Travel pay: 1 day prior and 1 day following assignment, 8 hr day paid.
4. Locum to perm options
5. Malpractice covered by WMS
6. 1099 Contractor position
