Job Summary:

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our growing team. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience.

The mission of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is to provide evaluation and treatment for a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders and participate in clinical and translational research to help lead future practice. The division consists of seven physicians, five nurse practitioners, six registered nurses, and a team of pediatric registered dietician nutritionists who help manage complex and chronic gastrointestinal disease. This team of professionals offers care through a specialized outpatient clinic and at the bedside at American Family Children's Hospital, as well as multiple sites across the region.

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is a vibrant academic department comprising more than 200 faculty members in 16 subspecialty divisions. The department promotes and enhances the health of children through outstanding clinical care, exemplary education of pediatric trainees, performance of cutting-edge research, and vigorous advocacy. Qualifications:

  • Completion of an ACGME-approved pediatric residency program is required.
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Gastroenterology is required.
  • Experience in an academic medical setting preferred.
  • For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CHS or CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment or promotion to Associate Professor or Professor on the CHS or CT Track.

MD, DO, or equivalent

License/certification:

-Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Gastroenterology through the American Board of Pediatrics is required.
- Candidate is required to have or be eligible for a Wisconsin medical licensure.
- Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges.
