Emergency Department Medical Director / Physician

St. Joseph Healthcare, part of Covenant Health, is seeking an experienced, board-certified Emergency Medicine physician to serve as the ED Medical Director/Physician for our 18-bed emergency department, which handles 29,000 visits annually in Bangor, Maine. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Emergency Medicine experience and a strong interest in leading a dynamic team. You will oversee a team of 8 ED physicians and 6 physician assistants in this 0.75 FTE role, supported by an ED scheduler and administrative assistant.

Highlights of the Position:

• 0.3–0.5 FTE clinical time (based on your preference) at $220 per hour plus night shift differentials.
• Generous stipend for the administrative role of $133K in addition to base salary, with a minimum of 600 Clinical hours.
• Epic EMR with sufficient time allocated during shifts for charting.
• Dedicated ED scheduler and administrative assistant to support daily operations.
• Highly competitive sign-on bonus.
• Student Loan Repayment Program offering $20K per year with no maximum benefit.
