Optum NJ, (formerly Optum Tri-State NJ) is seeking an Endocrinologist to join our team in Belleville, NJ. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live.
As a member of the Optum Care Delivery team, you’ll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone.
Responsibilities:
- Comfortable treating all aspects in Endocrinology and Metabolic disorders including Diabetes, thyroid and adrenal diseases, osteoporosis, hormonal imbalances.
- Responsible for office consults, follow up appointments and outpatient procedures.
- Consult with patients to understand their health concerns and perform specialized tests to diagnose and treat patients.
- Consult with patient’s primary care physician and other specialists as needed.
- Travel between multiple Endocrinology offices within close proximity to each other throughout Belleville, Maplewood, & Springfield (New Jersey).

Position Highlights:
- Independent, multi-disciplinary practice with a strong affiliation with local tertiary care hospitals that provides a full range of Endocrinology medicine.
- In collaboration with physician, direct and manage a complete continuum of quality-based care within the interdisciplinary team.
- Full complement of admin and clinical provider support to assist with patient care.
- Flexible full-time schedule (i.e., 32 – 40 hrs/wk) from 8:00a – 4:30p or 8:30a – 5:00p.
- No evenings or weekends.
- Outpatient focused, phone-only on-call support (low/manageable volume).
Required Qualifications:
- Unrestricted licensure in the state of New Jersey or has New Jersey application in process.
- Board Certification or board eligibility in Endocrinology.
- Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start.
- Active New Jersey CDS License or ability to obtain prior to start.
New Jersey Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $235,160 to $336,714 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
