About Position:

South Georgia Medical Center (SGMC), a leading healthcare provider in Valdosta, Georgia, is seeking a skilled and compassionate OBGYN Hospitalist to join our team. As an OBGYN Hospitalist, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to women in labor and delivery, the emergency department, and inpatient services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 24/7 obstetric and gynecologic care to patients in a hospitalist role.
• Manage labor and delivery, including attending deliveries, performing C-sections, and managing obstetric complications.
• Work closely with nursing, anesthesia, and pediatric teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to the obstetric and gynecologic care team.
• Respond to emergencies and provide acute care for women with obstetric or gynecologic issues.
• Collaborate with physicians on patient care management and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in patient rounds, teaching, and mentoring medical residents and students.
• Ensure patient safety, quality care, and satisfaction in accordance with SGMC’s standards.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified/Board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Valid Georgia medical license (or ability to obtain one).
• New graduates will be considered.
• Strong clinical skills in high-risk obstetrics and gynecology.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hospital-based environment.
