  • Indian Health Services is seeking an Outpatient Supervisory Primary Care Physician in Peach Springs, AZ. Must be Board Certified in a Primary Care specialty (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Med/Peds). Join our team of 4 primary care providers, providing outpatient services to an underserved Native American population in a rural clinic setting. Oversee the physicians working at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, in the Supai Clinic.     Position Details: Peach Springs Health Center provides primary care to all ages in a patient-centered medical home, supported by Behavioral Health, Dental, Nutrition, Optometry, Pharmacy, Podiatry, Public Health Nursing, and Lab services. Supervise the other PCPs and the clinical services at the Supai Clinic in the Grand Canyon, and enjoy a low volume clinic with ample time to address patient needs.

    Position Benefits:

    Peach Springs Health Center, in Peach Springs, AZ (Hualapai tribe), and Supai Health Station, in Supai, AZ (Havasupai tribe) are part of the larger Colorado River Service Unit. The clinics are supported by the Parker Indian Health Center, a Critical Access Hospital in Parker, AZ, and are Joint Commission accredited.

    Peach Springs is about 2 hrs from Flagstaff, 2.5 hrs from Las Vegas, 4 hrs from Phoenix. Many of the staff live in the Kingman area, and enjoy the convenience of taking the clinic shuttle to work.

    Supai, at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, and accessible by foot, mule, or helicoptor, provides primary care in a brand new clinic to the Havasupai tribe with a physician covering at least a week at a time (travel and housing provided).

    Compensation Details

    $250-320k

    Generous federal benefits, adding 30% over salary to the compensation package. Competitive salary based on experience; regular salary increases and yearly cost of living adjustments. IHS/NHSC loan repayment: $50,000/2 year term, can renew on a yearly basis. Public Service Loan Forgiveness - all remaining Direct Loans forgiven after 10yrs/120 payments.
