Clinical neurologists with expertise in Epilepsy are invited to apply for two open positions at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. which is affiliated with Penn State College of Medicine. The successful candidate will join the collegial faculty of Penn State Neurology under the leadership of the Chair, Krish Sathian, MBBS, PhD.

What we’re seeking:

  1. Medical degree – MD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
  2. BC/BE in Neurology and Epilepsy fellowship and/or Clinical Neurophysiology (epilepsy track) training. BC/BE in epilepsy is desirable.
  3. Clinical expertise in epilepsy. Interest in developing a focus area, e.g. in the surgical epilepsy program, intra-operative monitoring, continuous EEG monitoring, or outpatient epilepsy is encouraged.
  4. Experience with pharmacological management of epilepsy, video-EEG monitoring, intracranial monitoring and neurostimulation required.
  5. Excellent patient care abilities and interest in teaching as well as participation in clinical research.

These clinical activities offer a variety of opportunities for research. A 128-channel Neuralynx system is available to record neural activity in the EMU and store on our servers for offline analysis in ongoing research projects. The epilepsy group is also involved in other investigator-initiated research projects and clinical trials, as well as numerous educational and community service activities.
