Orthopedic Surgeon - Hospital Employed - 2 opportunities in Western Kentucky

1. Start-Up Orthopedic Practice

Position: Orthopedic Surgeon Location: Paducah, KY Facility: Modern 10,000 sq. ft. facility with advanced equipment

Role Overview:

• Scope: General orthopedics (knees, hips, elbows, shoulders, total joints). Spine handled by neurosurgery.
• Team: Collaborate with 7 hospital-employed PCPs and 3+ PCPs in the community, including 1 sports medicine fellow.
• Facilities: Blocked OR time, robotics, supportive hospital system.
• Call: 1:4, locums support anticipated.

Compensation:

• Base Salary: ~$661k
• Earnings Potential: $850k-$1.15m, based on MGMA 75th-90th percentile

2. Established Orthopedic Practice

Position: Orthopedic Surgeon Location: Madisonville, KY Facility: 410-bed acute and skilled care facility

Role Overview:

• Team: Join 2 existing orthopedic surgeons.
• Work Allocation: 2-2.5 days office, 1-1.5 days OR weekly; potential for more OR time as practice grows.
• HSPA Area: Student loan forgiveness available.

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $660,000 for first 2 years
• Incentives: Customized package, residency stipend up to 24 months, starting bonus, loan repayment assistance
