The Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is recruiting a full-time Neurohospitalist physician to join our team at AHN Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA.

Job Duties

1. Employed position with flexible schedule
2. High growth inpatient consults due to hospital expansion
3. If interested, academic opportunities such as teaching, participation in Grand Rounds, Journal Club and Case Discussions can be made available through the academic branch of the division
4. Primary Stroke Center Certification (JC) – State-of-the-art equipment with 24/7 Stroke Alert Team and 24/7 Tele stroke Support by the AHN Cerebrovascular Center.
5. EPIC Electronic Health Record
6. Two Intensive Care Units (40 beds) with in house intensivists 24 hours/day
7. Full neuroimaging capabilities (MRI/MRA, CT/CTA, cerebral angiography)
8. Physician extender (CRNP) support

Job Qualifications

1. Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
2. Pennsylvania License

The Neuroscience Institute currently staffs over 25 neurosurgeons, 37 neurologists and 64 advanced practice providers who specialize in a myriad of neurosurgical disorders, including brain, spine and skull-based surgery, stroke, movement disorders, cranial nerve disorders, neuro-oncology, epilepsy, headache, neuromuscular disorders, dementia, and concussions to name a few. The Institute has a quaternary care facility within Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) in Pittsburgh PA, that includes a level 1 trauma center, and a level 2 trauma center located at Forbes Regional Hospital (FRH), located in Monroeville, Pa.

AHN Saint Vincent has been proud to open a brand new 39-bed Emergency Department, on-site Cancer Institute facility, four state-of-the-art 700 sq. ft. Operating Rooms, new Interventional Radiology suite, renovated Labor & Delivery Unit, two comprehensive outpatient pavilions and more. Expansion continues with the addition of a second Linear Accelerator within our Cancer Institute.
