The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School is seeking a full-time academic foot & ankle specialist to join its Division of Orthopaedic Surgery.
About The Position:
- Serve as a clinical expert and build research endeavors in foot & ankle surgery.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team for foot & ankle conditions.
- Collaborate with other experts and care for underserved patients.
- Develop an atmosphere of scientific inquiry and collaborate with researchers.
- Participate in strategic planning and growth of the division.
- Develop partnerships with referring providers.
- Assist in creating a data and evaluation infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other schools on multidisciplinary models.
- Actively participate in the academic department.
- Integrate health and healthcare into all aspects of medical education.

Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Current Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery (or board eligible)
- Fellowship Training in Foot&Ankle Surgery
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas (or the ability to obtain prior to appointment);
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment;
- Outstanding clinical teaching skills;
- Innovative self-starter with a commitment to excellence;
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills;
- Eligible for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank in the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at Dell Medical School at UT Austin.
