The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School is seeking a full-time academic foot & ankle specialist to join its Division of Orthopaedic Surgery.

About The Position:

• Serve as a clinical expert and build research endeavors in foot & ankle surgery.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team for foot & ankle conditions.
• Collaborate with other experts and care for underserved patients.
• Develop an atmosphere of scientific inquiry and collaborate with researchers.
• Participate in strategic planning and growth of the division.
• Develop partnerships with referring providers.
• Assist in creating a data and evaluation infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other schools on multidisciplinary models.
• Actively participate in the academic department.
• Integrate health and healthcare into all aspects of medical education.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school
• Current Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery (or board eligible)
• Fellowship Training in Foot&Ankle Surgery
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas (or the ability to obtain prior to appointment);
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment;
• Outstanding clinical teaching skills;
• Innovative self-starter with a commitment to excellence;
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills;
• Eligible for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank in the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at Dell Medical School at UT Austin.
