The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO), in partnership with CareerPhysician, the national leader in academic child health executive search and leadership development, invites applications and nominations for the position of Section Head, Pediatric Emergency Medicine. The Section of Pediatric Emergency Medicine is home to a distinguished and diverse emergency and urgent care faculty committed to excellence in clinical care, research, and education. With nearly 200 faculty members, fellows, postdoctoral researchers, and staff, the Section serves our patients by delivering cutting-edge emergency and urgent care while advancing care through innovative research, quality improvement, educational, and advocacy initiatives.

Qualifications:

• MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree
• Board Certification in Pediatrics Emergency Medicine and eligibility for permanent, unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Colorado
• Academic accomplishments meriting appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at UCSOM
• Seven (7) years of experience in a multi-disciplinary academic Emergency Medicine program and highly skilled in the management of Emergency Medicine services for pediatric patients
• Experience working with diverse patient populations
• Experience with and commitment to faculty career development through mentoring
