Job Highlights
MaineHealth Pediatric Specialty Care is seeking a FT BC/BE Pediatric Endocrinologist to join their well-established Division of Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes in Portland, Maine.
This position offers:
· Outstanding clinical care in the full complement of endocrine disorders and all forms of diabetes.
· Robust support including two nurse practitioners, five certified diabetes educators, a social worker, and three endocrinology nurses.
· Participation in the Tufts University School of Medicine and the Pediatric Residency program both in the clinical and research arenas.
· Membership in the medical staff of The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital, a 116-bed tertiary care pediatric hospital within MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland, and Maine’s only dedicated children's hospital, providing comprehensive services including a PICU, NICU, dedicated pediatric section in the ED, and a 35-bed Inpatient Unit.
· Other affiliated programs in our system include the pediatric Weight and Wellness clinic, Muscular Dystrophy program, the Gender Clinic, Differences of Sex Development, and the Maine Children’s Cancer Program.
Qualifications:
· MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
· Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology
· Appropriate for recent fellowship graduates looking for ongoing mentorship as they develop their careers or more experienced physicians seeking a blend of clinical, academic, and administrative roles.
