Function/Duties of Position
The duties of this faculty physician position are in support of the missions, goals and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine and may include:
- Participate in the education of medical students and house staff in accordance with assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and Chair
- Care of patients with hematologic and oncologic disease
- Establish and maintain a program of scholarly activity directed toward improved understanding of the causes,
- Participate in administrative committees and councils of OHSU as approved by the Chair and Division Head
- Engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups with knowledge and consent of the Chair and Division Head
It is anticipated a clinical faculty position will be made up of the following components: Clinical, Teaching Research/Academic, and Service. Academic rank will be based on qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- MD or MD/PhD
- Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine
- Board eligible/certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
- Demonstrated background, focus, and drive to excel, as well as the desire to deliver the best care possible to cancer patient in a clinical research environment
- Proven track record of teaching, basic, clinical or population research and excellent patient care
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven success in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- History of success in obtaining extramural funds for clinical trials and/or basic science research

$267-360k
