Job Highlights
The Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Penn State Health, Penn State College of Medicine is seeking a board-certified/eligible Colon and Rectal Surgeon. Penn State Health is a multi-hospital health system serving patients and communities across 29 counties in central Pennsylvania.
Position Highlights
- Join a team of 4 Colon and Rectal Surgeons and 4 Advanced Practice Providers
- High quality academic and clinical program including funded research laboratory, established tissue biobank, IBD center and ACGME approved colorectal fellowship
- Average of 2 days in clinic and 1-2 days in OR per week
- Call will be 1:5
- Rank commensurate with experience
- High quality academic and clinical program
- Excellent Junior Faculty Development Program
Requirements
- MD, DO, or equivalent degree
- BC/BE in Colon and Rectal Surgery
- Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania
- Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
- A strong commitment to patient care, medical student and resident education, research/scholarly activity and an academic perspective on clinical care necessary
