FULL TIME UROLOGY OPPORTUNITY AT MERRIMACK UROLOGY ASSOCIATES TUFTS MEDICINE - LOWELL GENERAL HOSPITAL NORTH CHELMSFORD, MA

Merrimack Urology Associates is a well-established urology practice in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and are seeking a Urologist to join our practice. Our team currently consists of five full-time physicians, one part-time physician, and one full-time Nurse Practitioner. We are also actively recruiting an additional Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) to provide support to the physicians in the hospital during the weekdays. Our practice serves a large and diverse community with a patient population that can easily handle six to seven full-time Urologists.

Merrimack Urology Associates was an independent medical practice for fifty years and in 2021 we merged with Lowell General Hospital which is a part of Tufts Medicine, an integrated health care system. We practice almost all aspects of Urology, including oncology, endoscopic stone procedures, laparoscopy and robotics, MRI guided prostate biopsies, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, BPH, female urology, and basic pediatric urology. We perform office-based cystoscopies, TRUS Bx’s, vasectomies. We also offer in-house ultrasounds performed by certified sonographers.

We are affiliated with, perform surgical cases at, and provide coverage for one hospital (Lowell General Hospital). The hospital is comprised of a large main campus and a smaller campus, these campuses are a five- minute commute from each other, and both are very close to our office. Lowell General Hospital is a Magnet Hospital with a state-of-the-art Endourology Suite, a Davinci Xi Robot, and a dedicated Urology staff. We are associated with an excellent Cancer Center that runs trials through Dana Farber and other Boston Hospitals and we participate in multidisciplinary GU cancer conferences. We also have excellent supportive physicians such as interventional radiologists, nephrologists, etc.
