SSM Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Columbia, IL. This role involves diagnosing and treating various ailments, advising on preventive healthcare, and managing chronic diseases.

Opportunity Details:

  • Join a team of: 1 Pediatrician, 3 Family Medicine Physicians, and 4 NPs
  • Lab and Imagery are on-site for continuity of care
  • Call: You will take our own call during the week but are part of a rotating call group during the weekend (phone coverage with nurse triage)
  • 100% Outpatient
  • Attached to the UC/Express Walk-In Clinic
    • This will complement the ability to rapidly build practice
    • this clinic and area are expanding rapidly; tremendous growth potential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including acute and chronic illness management, preventive care, and health education
  • Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records using the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Missouri
  • DEA license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems

Salary Range: $135,000.00 to $857,000.00 / Year

The posted pay range for this position is what SSM Health reasonably expects, in good faith, to offer based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
