  • Toiyabe Indian Health Project has an opportunity for a Family Practice Physician to join our community in beautiful Bishop, CA.

    Essential Duties

    • See patients in out-patient office
    • Review laboratory reports and x-rays and interpret results.
    • Telemedicine consults with patients, as needed.
    • Serve as consultant to Family Nurse Practitioners.
    • Carry out home visits as needed.
    • Attend monthly staff meetings
    • Attend weekly medical Clinic staff meetings
    • Carry out special assignments to upgrade Clinic quality of care and administration

    Job Requirements

    • Must have a valid medical degree from an accredited School of Medicine and Board certified.

    • Must possess a valid Medical License

    • Maintain a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration

    • Possess an awareness and keen appreciation of Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs of the Indian community.

    • CPR certified or obtain within three months of hire.
