Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a full time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The APP-Critical Care functions as an integral part of the healthcare team. Serves various roles, including working directly alongside faculty and staff, providing care to the entire spectrum of patient acuity levels, working semi-autonomously and serving as a provider to initiate appropriate care, including laboratory studies and/or imaging as indicated, at the front end of a patient's visit. The APP-Critical Care works in an inpatient critical care area
Required Minimum Skills

Participate on rounds which includes evaluating and presenting the patient to the attending.

Keeping track of all consulting service recommendations and relevant follow-up.

Provide assistance in daily progress notes and discharge summary.

Place consults in a timely fashion.

Follows up throughout the day on labs, consults, additional studies

Update and manage problem list in the EMR and on the patient list.

Previous experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit preferred. Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner preferred
Specific Additional Duties Assigned:

Communicate with the patient and family and update them on plans of care along with any changes (positive and negative) in condition or management.

Communicate plans of care to the nursing staff daily, including plans for hospital discharge.

Sign out pertinent patient issues to the Pediatric Neonatology Attending prior to leaving for the day
