Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a 325-bed freestanding children's hospital and ACS-verified Level 1 pediatric trauma center based in Miami, Florida, and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children's Health System, are seeking an exceptional candidate to lead one of the busiest emergency departments in the nation.

· ADC: 250 patients/day
· LWBS: 0.42%
· 30 BC PEM Physicians; 18 Pediatricians
· 15 Advanced Practice Providers
· 24/7 on-call pediatric specialist/subspecialist coverage
· Lifeflight – Critical Care Transport Team
· Shifts vary from 7-10 hours based upon the time of year; coverage ranges from 3-8 physicians, depending on the time of day
Academic Affiliation
As a critical entry point for high acuity pediatric care in southern Florida, our pediatric Emergency Department is multi-faceted and focused on recruiting and retaining top pediatric emergency medicine physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs), as well as training the next generation of pediatric emergency medicine fellows, residents and medical students who rotate through an affiliation with Florida International University (FIU).
