Tele-Neurology in Charlotte, North Carolina

Shift Details:

• Days: Monday-Sunday
• Hours: 12-hour shifts
• Location: Telemedicine
• Schedule: Full-time opportunities available, but open to part-time and sporadic coverage.

Work Details:

• Coverage Needed: 24/7 coverage, divided into two 12-hour shifts for both day and night.
• Patients per Day:
  • Day Shift: 9-11 patients (call coverage for this site only)
  • Night Shift: 3-5 patients (potential to take calls for other sites to offset low volumes; more needs anticipated in NE, IA, WA, or CA)
• Tele-Neurology Goal: Respond by phone within 5-10 minutes and evaluate and consult within 20 minutes for all potential CVA/TPA/TNK patients.
• Technology: Caregility Carts for TeleStroke
• EMR System: Epic
• Hospital Bed Size: To be determined based on the specific Atrium hospital/site.
• Support Staff: A dedicated Stroke Nurse will log in ahead to ensure the cart is in place, technology is functional, etc.
• Case/Procedure Experience Required: Comprehensive Neuro, including stroke, seizure, and TBI.

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Required
• State License: NC required
• Credentialing: 90 days
• Willing to License: Yes
