SSM Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Columbia, IL. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive healthcare to patients of all ages, ensuring a continuum of care that emphasizes wellness and prevention. This role involves diagnosing and treating a wide variety of ailments, advising on preventive healthcare, and managing chronic diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including acute and chronic illness management, preventive care, and health education
- Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records using the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Missouri
- DEA license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
