Physician - OB/GYN-NM ( $280/hr - $290/hr + Housing and Travel)

📍 Location: Socorro, NM 87801

🗓️ Shifts starting June 2025 – Ongoing

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OBGYN to provide clinic and call coverage starting this summer, with ongoing needs into August and beyond. If you're looking for a well-supported role with a balanced caseload, we want to hear from you!

🏥 Schedule & Shifts

Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

​

Call Coverage Required:

While in clinic (8a–5p)

Nights (5p–8a)

Weekends (Fri 5p – Mon 8a)

​

Current Dates Needed:

June 9 @ 8am – June 10 @ 8am

June 16 @ 8am – June 17 @ 8am

June 19 @ 8am – June 24 @ 8am

July 2 @ 8am – July 7 @ 8am

July 10 @ 8am – July 12 @ 8am

July 23 @ 8am – July 28 @ 8am

August – Ongoing (dates pending)

👶 Patient Load & Caseload

8–10 deliveries/month

<15 patients/day in clinic

C-section rate: 21%

Occasional high-risk cases, majority low-risk

​

👩‍⚕️ Team & Support

Work alongside:

2 experienced OBGYNs

RN & MA

C-section assist provided when on call

​

✅ Requirements

Board Certification (or active board exam participation w/in 5 years of certification) – American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

EMR: EPIC

Privileging Criteria (Must meet all):

50 vaginal deliveries (past 12 months)

20 C-sections (past 12 months)

25 gynecologic procedures (5+ major abdominal)

🛠️ Skills & Procedures Required

• Labor & Delivery:

Routine & complicated deliveries

FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)

OB ultrasound performance & interpretation

Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

​

• Gynecology:

Surgical gynecology (D&C, hysterectomy, tumor resection, etc.)

Diagnostic & operative laparoscopy

Ectopic pregnancy, cystectomy, ovary removal, and more
