Pediatric Anesthesiology - Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center
Lebanon, NH
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team. As a tertiary medical and cancer center, we offer a diverse range of pediatric cases, from routine pediatric ambulatory procedures to complex surgeries in children of all ages. With the recent addition of a Pediatric Neurosurgeon, we anticipate an increase in neurosurgical procedures and are to build this service line together.
Education and teaching are key components of this role, with eight anesthesia residents per year. As an affiliate of the Geisel School of Medicine, there are opportunities for involvement in medical education, research, and academic advancement as well as collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics and other services. Pediatric assignments will be prioritized, and although there may be an expectation to participate in a variety of adult cases Dartmouth Health is actively working to expand pediatric services available.
At our main campus and adjacent outpatient surgery center, we primarily operate within a care team model. This position is ideal for a candidate seeking to maintain a dynamic and diverse practice in a setting that values excellence and versatility.
At Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, we prioritize creating a supportive and family-friendly environment that enhances both your professional and personal life. We believe that a positive work-life balance is key to overall well-being. By joining our team, you'll enjoy a range of benefits that contribute to a harmonious and fulfilling lifestyle.
Requirements include BE/BC in anesthesiology with fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology highly preferred, but not mandatory. Will also consider candidates with clinical experience with children including those under age 2 years undergoing complex procedures.
The Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system stretches over New Hampshire and Vermont and offers the quintessential New England experience. With no income or sales tax in New Hampshire, this beautiful area combines history, industry, and business and has been ranked consistently as one of the best places in the US to live and work. With destinations like Boston, New York, the seacoast, and ski country within driving distance, the opportunities - both career and personal - truly make New Hampshire the ideal place to work and play.
