Position Overview: SSM Health is searching for a talented and experienced Specialty Services physician leader to join our organization as the Specialty Clinical Program Medical Director for our Greater Fond du Lac Market.

This role is 40% administrative and 60% clinical, combining an impactful and highly visible leadership function with a condensed clinical practice schedule. With oversight responsibility for the Greater Fond du Lac market, you will play a key leadership role in Specialty Services strategy and realization of system initiatives. Medical Directors partner with Operation Leaders to monitor, manage, and improve the delivery of specialty services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specialty Services Clinical Leader: Provide strategic leadership and oversight for Specialty Services in the Greater Fond du Lac market.
  • Clinical and Administrative Balance: Spend 60% of your time in clinical practice and 40% in administrative duties.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Partner with Operation Leaders to enhance and optimize the delivery of specialty services.
  • Epic EMR: Utilize Epic EMR for efficient and effective patient care management.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO: Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Active Unrestricted WI Medical License (or ability to obtain one).
  • Board Certification: Board Certified (BC) in your specialty.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience as a practicing physician.
    • 2+ years of experience as a physician leader.
  • DEA: Active Unrestricted DEA license.
