The Division of Abdominal Imaging in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track.

Job Functions:

  • Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Participation in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows  
  • Participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research
  • Provide clinical imaging services to interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations and perform some non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures
  • In addition to the rich clinical experience, faculty will participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conference
  • Supervise the performance of technical personnel
  • Be part of the on-call radiology schedule
  • Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of general radiology and abdominal imaging
  • Provide abdominal imaging consultation as requested
  • Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the division director or Chair
  • Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of musculoskeletal radiology
  • Participate in teaching activities related to general radiology as required in: Diagnostic Radiology and integrated Diagnostic Radiology/Interventional Radiology Residency programs, Abdominal Imaging Fellowship Program, Medical student education program, Radiologic technologist educational programs, Continuing Medical Education programs
  • Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair

Minimum Qualifications:  

Education:

  • Medical Degree
  • Diagnostic Radiology Residency
  • Body Imaging Fellowship

Certification and Licensing:

  • American Board of Radiology Certified or Board Eligible
  • Florida Medical License or Eligible

Experience:  

  • Completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Abdominal Radiology
  • Prior experience in a university faculty setting preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Provide clinical imaging services to interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations, as well as performing non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures
