Locum Tenens Opportunity – Ophthalmology Coverage Needed ASAP | Southern CA 🗓️ Schedule & Flexibility 👁️‍🗨️ Practice Details ✅ $175-$220 hourly Locations: Long Beach, Westchester & Santa Ana, CA Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing Setting: Outpatient Clinic Only – No Call

We’re urgently seeking a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist for immediate locums coverage with one of the top-rated eye care organizations in Southern California.

• 5 days/week preferred, but 3 days/week may be accepted based on case types
• 1 provider to rotate between locations – schedule tailored based on what the provider is comfortable seeing
• Preference is for general ophthalmology, but candidates focused on:
• Pediatric ophthalmology
• Adult strabismus
• Pterygiums are also encouraged to apply, though scheduling may be more limited
• Outpatient clinic setting – No surgical procedures or call
• 30–40 patients per day, depending on visit type and skillset
• Procedures performed will be based on daily patient needs
• Ophthalmology techs on-site for full support
• EMR: Custom-built/homegrown platform
• Advanced procedure requirements – TBD based on case volume and provider capabilities
• Active California medical license
• Board Certified in Ophthalmology
• Comfortable with either general or subspecialty ophthalmology (Peds, Strabismus, Pterygiums)
• Willing to commute between clinic locations
