The University of Iowa Department of Internal Medicine is seeking faculty for a position in the Division of General Internal Medicine to grow their academic hospitalist group. The Hospitalist Program offers extensive opportunities for faculty to engage in teaching students, residents, and advance practice providers, in addition to participating in groundbreaking health services research.

Specialized Services:

  • Nocturnist/swing-shift positions with APP-support are available and offer competitive pay differentials, up to 15%-30% bonus pay.
  • Cardiology hospitalist services allow individuals interested in cardiovascular disease to practice alongside heart failure cardiology specialists with advance practice provider support. Historically, former cardiology hospitalists have successfully matched in cardiology fellowships.

Job Duties: Successful candidates will practice in the area of Hospital Medicine and assume a lead inpatient role in our multidisciplinary care team.

Requirements:

•Candidates must have an M.D. degree or equivalent

•Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency Program

•Candidate must be BC/BE - Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

•Excellent Communication Skills
