Medical Oncologist - Academic Clinician

Job Summary:

The Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care seeks an academic clinician with interest in medical oncology research, including bench and translational studies, genomics, precision medicine and therapeutics. We seek candidates for this position in sub-specialties such as CNS, GU, GI or Sarcoma, The academic clinician will be expected to engage in active collaborative research and build clinical and/or translational research in the division and obtain/maintain independent extramural funding.

Qualifications:

Experience in clinical and/or translational research, with a track record of successful publications in peer reviewed journals, strong written and verbal communication skills, commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, evidence of excellence in teaching and current or high potential to obtain extramural funding. Through these efforts, the ability to enhance national recognition for our division and the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center.

For appointment at Associate Professor on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.

Education:

Required
Terminal Degree
MD, DO, or equivalent

License/Certification:

Required
ABIM - American Board of Internal Medicine Certification
Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Must have completed an accredited fellowship training program in Medical Oncology.

Must be eligible for a Wisconsin medical license.
