Interventional Radiologist Opportunity – Veterans Health Care System (Decatur, GA) Rate: $375/hour

Overview: Join the Veterans Health Care System in Decatur, GA, as a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist. We are seeking skilled professionals with experience in a variety of interventional radiology procedures to deliver exceptional care to our nation's veterans. This role provides flexibility, offering clinic coverage during standard hours and after-hours on-call support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced interventional radiology procedures, including:
  • Angiography, Balloon Angioplasty/Stent Placement
  • Chemoembolization, Cryoablation, and Radiofrequency Ablation
  • Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty, Thrombolysis, and TIPS Placement
  • Dialysis Access Procedures, IVC Filter Placement, and Biliary Interventions
• Provide patient consultations, develop treatment plans, and manage post-procedure care
• Participate in peer reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and committee meetings
• Maintain timely, accurate patient records using an EMR system

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Board Certification in Interventional Radiology (ACR)
• Current, full, unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Active DEA certificate
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills

Working Environment:

• Full-time, 5 days per week, with standard clinic hours (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
• On-call shifts after hours, weekends, and government holidays as needed
• On-call schedule: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM (weekdays) and 24-hour coverage (weekends)

Start Date: April 1, 2025 End Date: March 31, 2030 Shift: 5/40, including on-call requirements
