  • The Department of Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and visionary leader to serve as the Chief of the Division of General & Minimally Invasive Surgery.

    The Chief of General & Minimally Invasive Surgery will be responsible for overseeing and advancing the general and minimally invasive surgery programs within the department and affiliated sites. This position is a critical leadership role that will involve guiding and coordinating the division's strategic, clinical, educational, and research activities, in concert with the Loma Linda University Health Digestive Disease Center. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of excellence in General & Minimally Invasive Surgery, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for advancing patient care, education, and research in the field of general and minimally invasive surgery.

    Procedures performed in this division include laparoscopic and robotic complex abdominal wall hernia, foregut, bariatric, and general surgery, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. The division hosts a Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship, is an accredited Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), and has been awarded a Blue Distinction Center for its high-quality bariatric surgery program. Practice sites include a tertiary/quaternary academic medical center at Loma Linda University Medical Center, the Loma Linda University Medical Center – Murrieta campus, satellite community programs, and the largest surgical specialty Federally Qualified Health Center clinic in the nation. Across all settings, our surgeons have access to nine robotic platforms. Candidates must have appropriate board certification and licensure.     Benefits & Compensation

    The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $330,000 - $347,000. This amount does not include our generous benefits package, variable compensation, or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
